GC Professor Tania León given honorable mention in Tony Award Acceptance Speech by Jeanine Tesori

The Graduate Center Music Program is pleased to share with you a video of composer Jeanine Tesori’s acceptance speech when she won the 2015 Tony Award for Best Musical Score for Fun Home. We are honored to have GC Music Composition faculty member Professor Tania León acknowledged by name in her acceptance speech: “I am so proud to be standing here with Lisa Kron. We stand on the shoulders of other women who’ve come before us: Mary Rodgers, Tania León, Linda Twine.”
