Soyeon Kate Lee and Ran Dank, brilliant pianists in the GC’s D.M.A. program, have signed on with prestigious artist agencies: Mr. Dank with Colbert Artists Management, and Ms. Lee with Diane Saldick Management. These agencies manage illustrious musicians such as pianists Alfred Brendel and Ursula Oppens, cellist Janos Starker, conductor Jorge Mester, and clarinetist Charles Neidich.

Lee and Dank already have extensive professional careers as soloists and are featured on numerous recordings. Most recently, Lee joined the roster of the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center Two, her Naxos Liszt transcription CD is due out this season, and Naxos has signed her to record a two-CD set of Scriabin piano works in April 2013. Equally active professionally, Dank gained critical acclaim in the past season of New York concerts alone for his “vivacious playing” (New York Times) of the Tobias Picker Concerto at Columbia University’s Miller Theatre and for “the sweep and fire of his playing” (Anthony Tommasini, New York Times) of Ravel’s Trio in A Minor at the Chelsea Music Festival.
