The Graduate Center Music Program is excited to share that one of our Composition students, Haralabos [Harry] Stafylakis,  has recently received a commission from Providence Premiere, a non-profit organization dedicated to advocating for  new music across communities in the state of Rhode Island. Haralabos will be composing a new trio for soprano Blythe Walker, violinist Alexey Shabalin, and harpist Hyunjung Choi. The new work, along with seven other new works by emerging composers, will be premiered on April 19th, 2013 at the Providence Premieres New Music Festival.
