Two GC Musicology Students to Present at AMS

As Musicologists from around the globe descend upon Pittsburgh, PA this week for the annual American Musicological Society Conference, the CUNY Graduate Center Music Program is pleased share that two Graduate Center Music students will be presenting at the conference: Jennifer Jones-Wilson will be presenting “The New Orleans French Opera Company in New York City, June-September 1845: Performing ‘Modern Opera'”, and David McCarthy will be presenting “Oirse: o irse. ¿Adónde?”: Affect in Octavio Paz’s “Recapitulations” (1967), Melancholy in Close-Up(1990), and the Politics of Experience.”
