The Graduate Center Music Program is pleased to share that Prof. David Grubbs will be giving an in-gallery talk at the New Museum this coming Thursday, March 3, at 3:30pm, as part of programming for the exhibition Anri Sala: Answer Me.
The talk focuses on solo and duo musical performance, phase relationships, and overdubbing in sound recording through discussions of Sala’s Ravel Ravel (2013), Unravel (2013), and Long Sorrow (2005). The New Museum asks that you RSVP to attend, and the reservations have all been claimed, but the event is free with admission to the museum, and it’s absolutely fine just to show up and join the group. The event starts at 3:30pm just outside the installation Ravel Ravel, on the museum’s fourth floor.
