I am honoured to have been recently appointed as a principal member of Australia’s Omega Ensemble, one of the finest groups of its type in the nation. Of particular interest to me is the ensemble’s special and ongoing connection to the US, with many new works each year written by American composers.
Later this month, I am travelling back to Australia to give the world premiere performances of new commissions by Nico Muhly, Chris Cerrone, and the Australian premiere of a quartet by Missy Mazzolli. To round out the program we will also play the wonderful sextet of Copland, for quartet, clarinet, and piano.
