Ahead of the 67th GRAMMY Awards on February 2nd, 2025, Professor Emerita Tania León was announced as a 2025 Special Merit Award Honoree. 

Frankie Beverly, The Clash, Dr. Bobby Jones, Taj Mahal, Prince^, Roxanne Shante, and Frankie Valli were named the 2025 Recording Academy Lifetime Achievement Award honorees, and the Trustees Awards went to Erroll Garner^, Glyn Johns, and Tania León, and the Technical Grammy Award honored Dr. Leo Beranek^.
