Chelsea Lane releases debut album

DMA Performance (’17) alum Chelsea Lane will release her debut album Suspensions on the Better Company Records label on December 2nd across all streaming platforms. The album draws on contemporary, minimalist-inspired works to explore the theme of “suspensions,” both literal and figurative. Pairing newly commissioned works (by Ellis Ludwig-Leone and Molly Joyce) with Lane’s new harp editions of existing works by contemporary composers (Thomas Adès, Nico Muhly, and Chris Cerrone), and a few staples of the solo harp repertory (by John Cage and Kate Moore), Suspensions is a delicately balanced, thoughtful debut.

Stream the first single, “Falling Berceuse” by Nico Muhly, on various platforms, including Spotify and Apple Music now. Pre-save or pre-order the entire album here. Attend the album release concert at Littlefield on Sunday, December 4th by purchasing tickets on Eventbrite. Visit Lane’s website to read more.
