Prof. Anaar Desai-Stephens, who joined the Graduate Center faculty this year, has been featured by the Graduate Center in celebration of AAPI Heritage Month, in recognition of scholars who are leading change in the sciences, social sciences, arts, and humanities.  Prof. Desai-Stephens, a member of the ethnomusicology faculty, focuses her research on popular music, media economies, and subjectivity in South Asia.
