Tania León Composition wins Grammy Nomination

Composer and conductor Tania León, distinguished professor of music at the Graduate Center, has been nominated for a Grammy Award in the Best Contemporary Classical Composition category (79), for “Inura for Voices, Strings and Percussion” on her CD In Motion (Albany Records, TROY 1284). The performing artists are Son Sonora Voices, directed by Judith Cluman, with Son Sonora Ensemble / DanceBrazil Percussion, and León conducted. The composition was also nominated for a 2012 Latin Grammy.
