Highly regarded as a composer, conductor, arts educator and advisor to arts organizations, former Graduate Center faculty member Tania León will deliver a TEDx talk on December 15th at the 2019 Bay Ridge Women conference devoted to the idea of creating a legacy: among her many other accomplishments, her own legacy includes founding the Dance Theater of Harlem and the Composers Now organization.
“TEDx is a framework for independent local conferences under the umbrella of the TED organization, following the framework of the original TED conference, but organized and run locally. The 2019 Bay Ridge Women conference will focus around the concept of ‘Paradigm Shifts’, with talks on subjects ranging from linguistic frameworks to family and motherhood.”
