Graeme Steele Johnson performs three concerts in Seattle, twice with his award-winning quintet WindSync for Emerald City Music, as well as another chamber music program at the National Nordic Museum. WindSync’s program at Emerald City Music includes the group’s original arrangements and commissions from Marc Mellits, Akshaya Avril Tucker and Nathalie Joachim (world premiere), and music by Seattle-based composer Miguel del Aguila from the quintet’s recent recording at Abbey Road Studios. At the Nordic Museum, Johnson will perform the clarinet quintets of Brahms and Mozart, the latter in its original version on an elongated clarinet that Johnson commissioned, as well as Svante Henryson’s Off Pist for clarinet and cello. April 14 at 415 Westlake (ECM), April 15 at Minnaert Center for the Arts (ECM), April 19 at National Nordic Museum.
