The GC Composers present a concert in Elebash Hall featuring works by composers in the Graduate Center’s music composition Ph.D. program performed by Talea Ensemble. The program will include the works hatching – renderings by Tobias Fandel; Pares de Flores by Itzá Garcia; 4 Sketches by Teté Leguía; Amanacer by Gabriel Bouche Caro; Chromatic Revelations in Viscous Resin by Nicholas Tran; Ākāśā by Ramya Thiyagarajan; Intus ergo foris by Santiago Beis; and …Sands spoke; underneath them, the waves returned to the lighthouse… by Bahar Royaee. Talea Ensemble includes performers Laura Cocks, flute; Christa Robinson, oboe; Benjamin Fingland, clarinet; Adrian Morejon, bassoon; Wilden Dannenberg, horn; Taka Kigawa, piano; Sunghae Anna Lim, violin; Leah Asher, viola; Chris Gross, cello; Tristan Kasten-Krause, bass; and David Fulmer, conductor. The GC Composers is headed by George Katehis and Professor Suzanne Farrin, Head of Composition at the Graduate Center.
